COMPARISON OF THE DRUG FASTNESS BETWEEN TUBERCULOUS BACILLI FROM THE SPUTUM IN TAEGU STREETS AND THAT FROM THE FRESH CASES

Abstract
In these nations with endemic tuberculosis and without proper facilities to isolate the
active cases, the dissemination of the disease due to the sputum of the patients and the
fastness of the bacilli associated with wide use of the antituberculous drugs is another
gloom over the field.
The author examined the rate of detecting tuberculous bacilli from the sputum found
in the streets (of the Taegu City) and their fastness, and compared the results with that
of the fresh cases who are not experienced the use of the antituberculous drugs.
1. The rate of detecting tuberculous bacilli from the sputum In the Taegu streets is
found to be 3%, by cultural method.
2. The fastness in seven cases are studied:
Fastness to the drug more than one kind¡¥¡¥¡¥¡¥¡¥¡¥¡¥¡¥¡¥¡¥¡¥¡¥6 cases
